Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026. Crushology (crushology.app) is an entertainment and personal-discovery app operated by EMRIONLABS LTD. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, with whom we share it, and your rights.
1. Data controller
Controller: EMRIONLABS LTD, company number 16941907, address: 10370 Suite, Brayford Square 5, London, United Kingdom. Contact: contact@emrionlabs.com.
2. Data we collect
Account and identity: information from Apple or Google Sign-In (e.g. name, email / provider ID). Profile: name, date of birth; optional birth time and birth place. Relationship context: people you save, memory notes, and reading history. Device and technical: device identifier (to separate pre-sign-in use), push notification token (FCM), in-app usage events, and crash / diagnostic logs (Crashlytics). Subscriptions: subscription / purchase status via the App Store / Google Play and RevenueCat. AI inputs and outputs: questions and prompts you type in the app (e.g. Ask), together with related profile and relationship context and the responses we generate, may be processed and sent to LLM service providers to create personalised content, keep the service safe, and prevent abuse.
3. Purposes
We process data to: generate personalised horoscope, compatibility, tarot, quiz and Ask content; verify subscriptions and deliver entitlements; send notifications (when permitted); prevent abuse; respond to support requests; and keep the service secure and reliable. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Legal bases (UK GDPR)
Where applicable: performance of a contract (providing the service), legitimate interests (security, analytics, product improvement — balanced against your rights), consent (e.g. push notifications), and legal obligations.
5. Who we share with
Only as needed to run the service: Apple and Google (authentication and store billing), RevenueCat (subscription verification), hosting infrastructure (e.g. server / Forge), Firebase (FCM notifications and Crashlytics), and LLM providers (Ask questions / prompts, profile and relationship context, and reading text generation). Those parties are also subject to their own privacy policies. We do not sell data or share it for third-party marketing, except where required by law or to protect our rights.
6. International transfers
We are a company registered in the United Kingdom. Some partners (e.g. Apple, Google, Firebase, LLM providers) may process data in the EU, US or other regions. Transfers are made with appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses or applicable frameworks).
7. Retention
We keep profile, memory and reading history while your account is active. After account deletion, related records are permanently deleted or anonymised, subject to legal, accounting or dispute-retention obligations. Crash logs and aggregated analytics may be kept for shorter periods.
8. Account deletion
In the app: Settings → Delete account. Access is revoked immediately; personal profile, memory, reading history, people, push tokens and generated reading content are erased / anonymised (typically within 7 days, or sooner when processed by our team). Pseudonymous purchase and credit-ledger records may be retained for accounting, fraud prevention or store compliance. If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately in App Store or Google Play subscription settings. If you cannot access the app, email a deletion request to contact@emrionlabs.com (subject: “Account deletion”) and include the Apple / Google account you used. Details: /en/delete-account.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR (where applicable) you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Email requests to contact@emrionlabs.com. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
10. Children
Crushology is for adults 18 and over only. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete the account and related data.
11. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures (access control, encrypted transport, production isolation). No system is 100% secure; we work to reduce risk over time.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will refresh the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use means you accept the current policy.
